Barefoot Shark Encounters regularly hosts international marine biologists, scientists and shark experts for ongoing shark and marine ecosystem research.
When international artist & photographer USA based Benjamin Von Wong wanted to feature sharks in his latest project, he travelled to Fiji. Benjamin needed a team of Fiji Shark Dive authorities to turn his vision into stunning art, that team was Barefoot Shark Encounters.

The 'Awakening Shark Dive' Day Cruise is for certified divers only. On this exhilarating dive you meet our resident population of Bull Sharks with guest appearances from other shark species.

Our Introductory Dive with Reef Sharks Day Cruise is for introductory divers (non-certified divers), a wow first time.
Our dive masters & instructors will provide full training including dive theory plus practical shore diving training. Once competency levels are achieved we'll take you on a boat ride to a nearby Moia Reef, home to White Tip & Black Tip Reef Sharks. You'll be accompanied by a dive master or instructor who'll be with you throughout your Fiji Shark Dive, to ensure you enjoy this wow shark encounter.

Not to be missed!
'Absolutely stunning island, resort and staff! This is an absolute MUST for any trip into the Yasawa islands. The island is next level stunning, the staff incredibly friendly and welcoming and there is a strong marine education/conservation ethos here.'
